NA Chairperson Dahal issues ruling to government to answer questions regarding rape incident at Chaupadi

Kathmandu: National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal has issued a ruling to the government to answer the question raised by the parliamentarians about the rape incident of a teenage girl in Chaupadi at Panchadeval Municipality- 2, Achham.

The ruling was issued to make the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane answer the question parliamentarians raised in the Sunday National Assembly meeting.

NA Chairperson Dahal said that the ministries were not paying attention to the letters, sent to address the questions raised by parliamentarians during an emergency and zero time.

He said despite the making of the agenda for the Ministers to answer the questions raised by parliamentarians, it has not been implemented effectively.

Members of Parliament (MPs) raised the question regarding the incident of rape in Chaupadi at today’s meeting.
