Government forms committee to address demands of Federal Parliament

Kathmandu: The government has formed a committee to facilitate the process of addressing the demands of the federal parliament’s employees.

The committee has been formed under the coordination of Minsiter of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri.

The meeting, which was held at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Baluwatar, decided to form a committee to address the demands of the employees under the coordination of Minister Giri.

The committee also consists of the Finance Minister’s Secretary and the Federal Parliament’s General Secretary.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ called Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Speaker of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli, Minister of Finance Barshman Pun, Minister of Law and Justice Padam Giri, Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal and Secretary General of Federal Parliament Padma Prasad Pandey for discussion on Sunday.

The employees are in a demonstration demanding by putting forth 11-point including an increase in wages, salary allowance, housing allowance, and educational allowance since the 12th of June (Jestha 30).
