Death of 3 people in vehicles'collision

Kathmandu: A road accident, that occurred at Rayamajhi Chowk of Bagmati municipality in Salahi, have resulted in the death of three persons.

Dozens of passengers were injured in the accident, which occurred early this morning. The incident occurred when a passenger bus hit a stationary lorry at Bagmati municipality-11 along the East-West Highway.

Those losing lives in the vehicle collision were Hari Bahadur Chaudhari, Dasharath Kohar (84 years old), and Ram Karan Kewat (50 years old) from Mayadevi rural municipality of Rupandehi district.

Although they were immediately rescued and rushed to the Namuna Hospital, Hariwan, the doctors declared that they had already breathed their last, according to a police inspector Anil Raj Giri.

The police added that others injured in the incident have been receiving treatment at different hospitals in Janakpur and Birgunj. The bus was heading to Janakpur from Rupandehi.
