Locals vandalized Kawasoti Municipality

Kathmandu: Locals have vandalized Kawasoti Municipality.

Locals vandalized the Kawasoti Municipality regarding the death of 3 women being buried while digging a drain. The locals and the relatives of the deceased demonstrated on Friday, making the situation stressful.

Seti Rana, Tanmaya, Gaha and Chameli Sinjali were buried while digging a drain under construction at Kawasoti’s Fruit Street on Thursday.

Likewise, the demonstrators have pelted stones at the municipality. The municipality’s door and windows have broken. Locals demonstrated accusing the municipality negligence on the death of workers. Locals have encircled Mayor Bishnu Prasad Bhusal’s house on Thursday.

The municipality said to provide relief to the family of the deceased. The meeting of the municipality has given a mourning holiday today.
