Kathmandu: Out of 49 deceased people, who were lost during a fire accident in a residential building in Mangaf of Kuwait, 40 have been identified as Indian.
India’s foreign ministry said apart from 49 deceased Indians, 50 Indians were also injured in the fire accident.
The fire accident occurred in the building, which has been a house of dozens of immigrant workers, on Wednesday.
According to the BBC, most of the casualties are from India’s Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

A few Nepali and Filipino workers have also been injured in the accident. The Embassy of Nepal has not officially given any information regarding Nepal’s nationals in the accident.
The Embassy’s website has not updated anything regarding the accident on its website. There were 196 workers when the accident took place. The details regarding the nationality of other deceased have not been revealed yet.
