ICC T20 World Cup: Match between Nepal and Sri Lanka abandoned

Kathmandu: The match between Nepal and Sri Lanka has been abandoned.

The match was abandoned due to the continuous rainfall. There was also no toss of the match due to the wet outfield. With this, Nepal and Sri Lanka have received 1-1 points each.

The match was scheduled to begin at 5:15 a.m., Nepali Standard Time on Wednesday, at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill.

The journey of Sri Lanka to Super 8 has ended. Nepal needs to win the remaining two matches against South Africa and Bangladesh and needs to wait for the results of other matches to secure its spot in the next stage.

Now, Nepal will play its next match against South Africa on Saturday.
