Kathmandu: Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairperson Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has suggested the new party leaders to remain alert while establishing a relationship with the leaders of the old parties.
Mentioning the character Dhritarastra from the Mahabharata, Dr. Bhattarai said, ‘We know about Dhritarastra and his embrace. He used to embrace with so much love, that it ended with death. Dhritarastra, to which you have turned into, old friends of our coalition. It is better not to get tightened in their embrace.’
Addressing the anniversary of the Nepal Samajwadi Party on Wednesday, he shared his experience of being close to those leaders.
‘I have not been tightened, though I was very much close, friends like Khagendra Sangraula were asking me whether I was still alive, and what might have happened to others. That’s why the embrace might be dangerous. Save yourself from it, ‘ said Dr. Bhattarai.
Rabi Lamichhane, Dr. C.K. Raut, Resham Chaudhary, Prabhu Sah, Samikshya Baskota, etc, were some of the leaders of the new party, who were invited to the program. They addressed the program. Dr. Bhattarai said that it was his dream to hand over the responsibility of alternative politics to the leaders of the new generation and take a leave from the world.
