Kathmandu: Afghanistan has defeated Uganda in the fifth match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Afghanistan defeated Uganda by 125 runs in the Providence Stadium, Guyana on Monday.
Uganda failed to chase the target of 184 runs. Uganda was packed up in 16 overs and scored only 58 runs. Robinson Obuya scored 14 and Riazat Ali Shah scored 11 runs for the team.
Fazalhaq Farooqi completed his five-wicket haul for Afghanistan. He took 5 wickets by delivering 24 balls.
In the first innings, Afghanistan scored 183 runs out of 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 76 runs and Ibrahim Zadran scored 70 runs for the team.
Brian Masoba and Cosmas Kyewuta took 2 wickets each for Uganda.
Meanwhile, South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the fourth match of the World Cup.
In the next match, England and Scotland will compete against each other at 8:15 p.m. (Nepal Standard Time)today.
Then, Nepal and the Netherlands will compete against each other at 9:15 p.m.
