Chairperson Oli: Government brought budget without discussing it with the ruling coalition parties

Kathmandu: The ruling coalition party CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the budget prepared by the government for the upcoming fiscal year.

Chairperson Oli expressed dissatisfaction as the budget was brought without discussing it with the ruling coalition parties.

Addressing the party parliamentary meeting held in Lhotse Hall of the parliament building on Saturday, Chairperson Oli said Finance Minister Barshaman Pun presented the budget, which was titled towards the CPN (Maoist Centre).

Chairperson Oli said the budget must have been oriented towards socialism, but the confusion was created due to the flaws in the budget-making process. He said that it was the policy of the CPN (UML) to support and pass the budget despite pointing out the drawbacks in the budget.

Chairperson Oli said that the party wanted to openly discuss the budget. He even directed his party lawmakers to move ahead by supporting the budget.
