CAN Chairperson Chand : It is not CAN’s fault in Sandeep visa rejection

Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Chairperson Chatur Bahadur Chand has denied the allegation that America didn’t grant a visa to Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, due to the weakness of CAN officials.

CAN Chairperson Chand denied the allegation, after the criticism started on social media that the USA didn’t grant a visa to Lamichhane due to not including him in the 15-member squad.

Chand also wrote a long status on FaceBook and claimed that after Lamichhane was acquitted, he was included in the team after coordinating with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Likewise, he published the letter sent by ICC to give a visa to Sandeep for the World Cup. He said that it was untrue that Sandeep was not kept in the team.

Lamichhane’s supporters were outraged after the U.S. Embassy refused to grant him a visa for 2nd time.

After the questions were raised on CAN Offical on social media, Chand requests  not to mislead cricket fans by speaking untrue based on lies and assumptions .
