5 Priority and Purpose of Budget 2024/25

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun is presenting the budget for the upcoming 2024/25 fiscal year in the joint sessions of both houses.

Finance Minister Pun has kept 5 sectors in priorities in the budget which are as follows:

1.   Economic Reforms and Promotion of the Private Sector

2.   Agriculture, energy, information technology, industrial development and infrastructure construction

3.   Development of social sectors including education, and health

4.    Inclusion and social security

5.    Promotion of good governance and improvement in public service delivery

Likewise, the four purposes presented in the budget are as follows:

1. Increase productivity and employment.

2. Increasing the morale of the private sector increasing investment and accelerating economic activities.

3. Developing human resources.

4. Reducing economic inequality and poverty by deploying resources and means in a balanced and equitable manner

5. Making public service delivery effective.
