Kathmandu: The meeting of the Task Force has begun to agree on the terms of reference (TOR) of the parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate the cooperative embezzlement.
The meeting is going at Singhadurbar on Friday. The effort to agree upon TOR going on at the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.
Likewise, the meeting which was scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. started late. The meeting held today after it failed to reach an agreement due to the stance of including the name of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in TOR.
Although the ruling party mentioned the name of the cooperative in which the Home Minister said to be involved, But it has been saying that Lamichhane’s name will not be included in TOR.
Task force Member Jeevan Pariyar said that the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) claims that the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is also involved in the embezzlement of cooperative funds and is on stance that his name should also be mentioned in the mandate of parliamentary inquiry committee.
NC has been obstructing the parliament after the dialogue in the TOR agreement fail to reach, despite the agreement to form a parliamentary inquiry committee.
The government is preparing to pass policy and program after reaching in an agreement in thetask force meeting before the start of parliament meeting today. It has been said that top leadership would discussed, if the task force fail to reach the agreement.
