Karnali Province: CPN(UML) MP Binod Kumar Shah reappointed as Minister

Kathmandu: CPN(UML) Member of Parliament (MP) Binod Kumar Shah has been reappointed as Minister of the Karnali Province Government.

He took an oath of secrecy on Wednesday. Provincial Chief Yam Lal Kandel appointed Shah as Minister of Land, Management, and Cooperatives during the cabinet expansion on 30 April (Baishakh 18). However, Shah didn’t take an oath expressing his dissatisfaction with the Ministry.

After the appointed Minister didn’t take the oath, Chief Minister Kandel took the Ministry responsibility himself by dismissing Shah from the Minister list on 13 May (Baishakh 31). But, Chief Minister Kandel reappointed Shah after realizing that without Shah’s support, it would be difficult to run the government.

This time Shah will be taking responsibility for the Ministry of Land, Management, and Cooperatives.
