Parliament passes ‘Motion of Thanks’ to President

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting has passed a motion of thanks to President Ram Chandra Paudel.

The HoR meeting passed the proposal of the motion of thanks despite the obstruction of the Nepali Congress (NC) on Tuesday.

Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party Member of the Parliament Prem Suwal (MP) Prem Suwal raised his hand to reject the proposal, but Speaker Devraj Ghimire declared the proposal being passed unanimously.

While NC MPs encircled well and chanted slogans, Speaker Ghimire gave Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ time to table the President’s address of the HoR on 14 May (Jeshta 1) in parliament.

NC MPs were chanting slogans when PM Dahal tabled the address of the HoR. Speaker Ghimire submitted the motion of vote of thanks by ignoring the objections of the opposition parties.
