7 people arrested in Traffic Police murder case

Kathmandu: Police have arrested 7 people in charge of murdering Police Constable Yuvraj Ghimire.

Police arrested the murderers and made them public on Sunday, who murdered Ghimire, a police constable working in the Traffic Police Division, Durbarmarg.

District Police Range Kathmandu SSP Basanta Rajaure holding a press meeting said that murderers of Ghimire were arrested from Balaju AsthaNarayan Hall and 22 Dhara Jungle. Police even fired a gun to stop them from escaping.

Sachin Pariyar known as Aithe (21 years old) from Bhaktapur, Anjali Shrestha (18) of Nuwakot, Basundara Karki ( 21) known as Bipana of Syangja, Budha Tamang (21) of Nuwakot, Amrit Tamang( 30) of Sindhupalanchowk are five of the arrested ones. The names of the remaining two arrested, a woman (56) and a minor (13), have not been unveiled yet.

According to SSP Rajaure, all arrested were drug addicts. Ghimire’s body was found in the house under construction at Tarkeshwor Municipality- 9, Manmaiju.

Likewise, Ghimire of (Khotang) was staying in Samakushi ,where drug addicts  were using the place as its arena.Police said that the incident took place due to a mutual dispute and further investigation, regarding the case is going on.
