'Guilty or Not Guilty' at Kausi (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Hydro Businessman Radhe Shyam fell from the 19th floor of an apartment in Dhumbarahi and died. Shyam’s death appeared suspicious. This raised the question of whether his death was suicide or murder.

The case has given birth to a heated argument in the court case. Based on the evidence, statements of witnesses, and police reports, the debate is going on between the lawyers of the defendant and the respondent in the court.

Juristic Members are writing their own opinions. The judge is in the process of announcing the verdict. Did Hydro Businessman Radhe Shyam Agrawal commit suicide? Or whether someone murdered him?

The above scene is from the drama ‘Guilty or Not Guilty.’ It is based on Russian-American writer Ayn Rand‘s ‘On the Night of January 16th’; a mystery and thriller drama.

The drama established Andy as a bold critic of social conformity. The play was opened on Broadway in 1935.

Samipa Gautam, Ananda Tamrakar, Ahbash Adhikari, Navin Chandra Aryal, Arun Paudel, Basna Timilsina, Sadin Luitel, Rupesh Lama, Ashok Gautam, Sushma Niraula, Manish Baiju, Bijaya Poudel, James Dhakal, Sagar Dahal, Raunak Karki, Isha Sijal are actors, who added life to the characters.

Raj Kamal Fakir directed the drama. Previously, Fakir also directed the play ‘An Inspector Call.’ Naresh Gajurel composed the sound for the play ‘Guilty or Not Guilty’. Prakash has taken responsibility for the lighting.

The staging of ‘Guilty or Not Guilty ‘ is going on at Kausi Theatre, Teku. The drama will be staged every day at 5:30 p.m. except on Tuesday. There is also an additional show on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The duration of the drama is about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The staging of the drama began on 16 May (Jestha 3, 2081). It will conclude on 8 June (Jestha 26).
