Prime Minister positive regarding formation of parliamentary inquiry committee

Kathmandu: The discussion between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the leaders of the major opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has concluded on a positive note.

The meeting, which was held in Baluwatar on Saturday, discussed various subjects including the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee, smoothing the running of the house sessions, etc.

NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said PM Dahal is optimistic regarding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate the cooperative funds’ embezzlement case.

PM Dahal assured the NC leader about discussing the matter with the members of the ruling coalition. NC has been demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate the involvement of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the case.

PM Dahal, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa, Krishna Sitaula, and Ramesh Lekhak were some of the leaders present in the meeting.
