Russian President Putin visits China

Kathmandu: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reached Beijing, China for an official visit.

President Putin met with China’s President Xi Jinping on Thursday. In the meeting, the 2 countries would reach an agreement on a major strategic partnership.

Interacting with the news agency Xinhua, Putin also said he is prepared to hold a conversation with Ukraine.  This is Putin’s 3rd time official visit to China, after the conflict with Ukraine.

After meeting with President Xi, President Putin said Russia and China stand together on international issues. The President also had an interaction with the Chinese media before beginning his two-day official visit.

President Putin said that Russia doesn’t stand in the way of an agreement that benefits all nations involved in the war. Western nations have been observing Putins’ visit to China.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy adjourned his official visit to foreign countries due to the increasing Russian offensive in various parts of Ukraine.

There was a schedule for the President to visit  Portugal and Spain this week. There are also rumors that President Zelenkyy adjourned his official visits, due to Putin’s visit to China.
