Government permits to brand domestic liquor production

Kathmandu: The government would start the production and branding of domestic liquor in the next financial year 2081/ 82.

President Ram Chandra Paudel made those statements while presenting the government policy and programs in the joint session of the federal parliament on Tuesday.

Previously, when the federal government banned domestic alcohol. The policy of ‘branding’ in domestic alcohol brought by some local level could not progress.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah also said that he would promote the business by branding the domestic liquor which is in vogue in the Newar Community.
