Police arrest bookie for operating betting website; Transaction of more than 2.1 billion rupees

Kathmandu: Police have arrested a bookie for operating online betting websites such as 1 Xbet, Gambling 365, etc.

Kathmandu Valley Crime Division made Anil Dhungana (24-year-old) public on Monday. Dhungana is a a resident of Mandandeupur Municipality- 8, Kavre.

Police said that Dhungana was found to have open accounts in banks and digital wallets under various names of people. A transaction of more than 2 arba and 1 crore rupees have been reported in those accounts.

Likewise, it has been found that Dhungana linked 56 bank accounts to 11Connect IPS and 15 e-Sewa Wallets, through the names of various people. A transaction of 2 billion 1 crore 18 lakh and 44 thousand rupees through these digital wallets.

Dhungana has been operating the Facebook page entitled ‘Juwa 365.’ Police have seized Indian Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, Delhi Metro cards, ATM cards, etc from Dhungana. The investigation regarding the case is going on.
