Speaker Ghimire calls meetings of Ministers, Chief Whips, and Whips of major parties

Kathmandu: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has called the meeting of the Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Whips/Chief Whip of major parties political parties.

Speaker Ghimire’s Secretariat said the meeting would take place in Ghimire’s office in Singhadurbar on Sunday at 2 p.m. The meeting would discuss the matters relating to the policy and programs.

The preparations are going on for President Ram Chandra Paudel to read the government’s policy and program in the meeting of the joint session of the parliament on 14th May. Another meeting for the preparations has also been announced.

The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has been obstructing the House session accusing Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of his involvement in the cooperationtive fraud scandal.

NC also obstructed the budget session that began on the 10th of May. The parties have been hinting at even obstructing the joint meeting for the policy and program.
