Kathmandu: The major opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has concluded that the activity of the government inclining towards having no intention of neither running the house session or forming of high-probe committee.
A meeting of the NC party officials, leaders, and former dignitaries, which was held in President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha on Saturday, came up with the conclusion.
The meeting also decided to call a parliamentary party meeting on Monday at 1:00 p.m. to discuss the next move of the party in the parliament.
NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa said the meeting decided to call the parliamentary meeting to decide the next step of the party in the parliament as the behavior of the government was neither positive in running the house session nor forming a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.
All the leaders decided not to let the house run unless a high-probe committee is formed to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane in a cooperative saving embezzlement case.
NC even criticized Speaker Ghimire for playing the role of discriminating against the party on Friday.
