Police arrest 15 people in charge of online betting games

Kathmandu: Banke’s Police have arrested 15 people in charge of playing online betting games.

Police arrested them while playing online betting at Ayu Halwai’s house at Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City -1, Dhambozhi. According to Banke’s Police Spokesperson and DSP Narayan Dangi,  Based on confidential information they raided and seized digital devices used in betting.

DSP Dangi said that they had seized 18 laptops, 56 mobile sets, 1 set poe switch, and others that were used in online betting. It has been discovered that they played online betting games including IPL through different webpages.

Arrested are Biraj Paudel (38 years old) from Gularia Municipality-6, Bardiya,  Shashawn Pathak(20), Ishwor Rana (28) of Khajura Rural Municipality -1, Banke, Top Bahadur Thapa (37), Ishak Limbu (25) of Milajung Rural Municipality -6, Morang,  Sandesh Rai (19) of Milajung Rural Municipality-9, Morang, Roshan Dunuwar( 22) of Milajung Rural Municipality -1 and Prabin Rai (27) of Ainselukhark Rural Municipality -6, Khotang.

Similarly, Parshuram Darji (33) of Illam Municipality, Rakesh Yadav (23) of Siraha Municipality -7, Siraha, Surendra Chaudhary (31) of Birgunj Metropolitan City -14, Parsa, Bhaskar Magar(32) of Chandigarh Municipality-8, Udaypur, Deependra KC (26) of Aathbiskot Municipality -9, Rukum, Rupak Koirala (29) of Arjukot Rural Muncipality-4, Gorkha and Sundar Rana (35) of  Triveni Rural Municipality-2, Parbat were also arrested.
