Kathmandu: The ruling coalition party CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that the parliament meeting ended at the right time.
The parliament winter session will end at midnight on Sunday. However, the opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has opposed it. Oli responded that it ended at the right time.
Oli said the NC does whatever they feel like doing. Interacting with media at the parliament house at New Baneshwor, Oli said, ‘NC is saying whatever it wants due to its anger and pain. This should not be done, the parliamentary system should be kept as a system. Is this the first time that the parliament session is about to end?’
He further said the preparation for policies, programs, budget, and bills would be delayed if the winter convention did not end now. ‘A gap of at least 15 days should be kept. The budget needs to be presented on 28 May 2024 (Jestha 15,2081),’ said Oli.
