NC-RPP obstruction results in postponement of House session 4 days

Kathmandu: The meeting of the parliament has been postponed for 4 days.

The meeting was postponed, after the demonstration of the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

As soon as an emergency time ended, Speaker Ghimire announced the start of zero time. But, RPP and NC Members of Parliament (MPs) started to protest by standing in the meeting. Then, Speaker Ghimire postponed the meeting for 4 days.

Speaker Ghimire said that the next meeting has been scheduled for 14 April 2024 ( Baisakh 2,2081).

NC has been demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee in a cooperative fraud case. But, the ruling coalition party are not showing concern towards NC’s demand. RPP has been showing support to NC.
