Gandaki Province Chief Minister Adhikari takes oath

Kathmandu: Gandaki Province Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari has taken an oath of office and secrecy.

Program held in Pokhara on Sunday, Province Chief Dilliraj Bhatta administered an oath and secrecy to Adhikari. Adhikari needed at least support from 31 majority members to become Chief Minister out of 60.

Debate upon his proposal has begun, after submission of claim by keeping the name of Speaker. Adhikari was supported by 31 provincial assembly members, 22 CPN (UML), 8 CPN (Maoist Centre), Independent lawmaker MP Deepak Manange.

Adhikari appointed as Gandaki’s Chief Minister

Likewise, Nepali Congress prepares to go to court against the Chief Minister appointment process, saying the majority was gathered with the signature of the Speaker.
