Mahara to be present in Kathmandu District Court

Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice Chairperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara has been prepared to be presented in the Kathmandu District Court for investigation.

Mahara was arrested in case of gold smuggling on Monday. Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) is going to present Mahara to the court. He was arrested in Bhairahawa and brought to Kathmandu through Yeti Airlines. Now, has been kept in the CIB Office, Lazimpat.

Likewise, Mahara, his son Rahul, Former Vice President’s son Dipesh Pun, and foreign expert Jeevan Gurung were allegedly involved in the smuggling of 61 kg of gold which was smuggled in a break su on 18 July 2022( Sharwan 2, 2079) and 9 kg of gold in (Electronic cigarette) Vape.
