NC MP suggests Home Minister: Resign on basis of morality

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress Chief Whip and Member of Parliament (MP) Pradeep Paudel has demanded the resignation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Friday, MP Paudel demanded the resignation of Home Minster Lamichhane. ‘I would like to request my friend Home Minister, set an example, based on high morality, by giving resignation, ‘said Paudel.

Earlier, he questioned, ‘How will the demand of the cooperative victims be fulfilled when a person, under investigation, gets an appointment to the main designation of the government?’ He asked how the government would solve the financial problem when it failed to win the belief of the victims.

He also said that the government committed a mistake by handing over the responsibility of the Home Minister to a controversial person.
