Newly-elected Chairperson Dahal: I will increase weight and dignity of National Assembly

Kathmandu: National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal has promised to increase the weight and dignity of the assembly.

Addressing the media interaction after being elected as the NA chairperson, Dahal said, ‘I will increase the weight and dignity of the National Assembly. That will be my only attempt.’

He said that he would be seriously involved in all the activities, which fall under the jurisdiction of the National Assembly. ‘There are challenges and that’s why I said, I will be successful. There is nothing about success and failure, where there are no challenges. There are challenges, I will be successful facing them,’ said Dahal.

Dahal said that he would seriously work on the questions raised regarding the effectiveness of the National Assembly.
