Dr. Bhattari to compete from Gorkha-2 in upcoming election

Kathmandu: Samajbadi Party Chairperson Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has decided to compete in the upcoming election.

Dr. Bhattarai will be competing from Gorkha 2, from where Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ won in the election held on 20 November ( Mangsir 4, 2079). Party Leader Bishwadeep Pandey said that former PM Dr. Bhattarai made that announcement during an interaction with the people of Gorkha 2.

‘Dr. Bhattarai has accepted the suggestion to reconsider the decision not to be a candidate in the next election, during an interaction,’ said Panday. ‘Now he will be a candidate from Gorkha 2 in the election of 2084.’

He further added,’ He was in Gorkha’s journey for a long time. During that time, he had a comprehensive discussion was held with the voters of Gorkha 2, from which he had won in the previous election.’

Likewise, Dr. Bhattarai had helped the CPN(Maoist Centre) Chairperson and PM Dahal to win in the previous Parliamentary election.
