Nepal fails to bag title of Tri-Nation T20I series

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost the final match against the Netherlands in the Tri-Nation T20I series. The Netherlands defeated Nepal by 4 wickets in the TU International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. With this, the Netherlands have won the series.

Michael Levitt scored 54 and Sybrand Engelbrecht 48 runs for the team. Kushal Malla took 4 wickets for Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airee and Abinash Bohora took 1 wicket each for the team.

In the first innings, Nepal won the toss and chose to bat first. Nepal scored 184 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 8 wickets. Opener Aasif Sheikh scored 47 out of 37 balls by smashing one boundary and 3 sixes.

Gulshan Jha scored 34 out of 25 balls hitting 3 sixes. Kushal Malla contributed 26 runs out of 11 balls. Kushal hit 3 sixes in a single over. Kushal Bhurtel scored 20 runs.

Karan KC scored 9 and Dipendra Singh Airee 1 run for the team. Aarif Sheikh became the victim of the duckout. Sompal Kami and Pratis GC were unbeaten at 6 runs.

Sybrand Engelbrecht, Michael Levitt, Timm van der Gugten, and Fred Klassen took 2 wickets for the Netherlands.
