Nepal defeats Netherlands to reach finals

Kathmandu: Nepal has reached the finals of the Tri-Nation 20I Series. Nepal defeated the Netherlands by 6 wickets in the match in T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Nepal chased the target of 121 runs in 15.2 overs with a loss of 4 wickets. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Gulsan Jha stabilized the wobbling batting of Nepal. Rohit scored 46 and Gulsan 38 for the team. Kushal Bhurtel scored 12 and Asif 8 runs for the team. Vivian Kingma took 3 wickets for the Netherlands.

In the first innings, Netherlands was all out in 19.3 overs and scored 120 runs. Pratis GC took 3 wickets for Nepal. He had taken 2 wickets in the 9th over.

Karan KC took 2 wickets in the first over. He took the wickets of Michel Levitt and Sybrand Engelbrecht in the fourth and 6^th ball. Kushal Malla took 2 and Dipendra Singh Airee took 1 wicket for Nepal.

Now, the match between the Netherlands and Namibia would ensure another team for the finals. Namibia needs to win the match by a large margin to reach the finals. Then, the journey to the Netherlands would end.

Nepal is in the second place of the point table. The Netherlands is at the top. Namibia is in the third place. The net run rate of the Netherlands is 0.309, Nepal is 0.239 and Namibia is -0.700. The net run rates also clearly indicate that Namibia needs to defeat the Netherlands by huge margin to reach the finals.
