Police remove rope attached to Parliament building (Photo feature)

Kathmandu: Police have removed ropes, that were tied around the footpath outside the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

After the public pressure, the use of footpaths has been resumed for pedestrians. According to Kathmandu Valley Police Chief AIG Deepak Thapa, the rope was tied around in the footpath to strengthen security for a short time, but it has been removed for now.

Likewise, the victims of microfinance debtors entered the Parliament building on Monday, resulting in the dismissal of 32 policemen who were assigned to the security of the Parliament building.

Ropes were used to block the footpath and prevent the walking of people in the footpath of New Baneshwor, Singha Durbar, Baluwatar, and so on, due to security arrangements.
