Kathmandu: The National Measles Rubella vaccination campaign 2080 has begun across the nation.
The campaign that began on 25 February (Falgun 13), will conclude on 20 March (Chaitra 7). However, the vaccination campaign in Rukum West and Jajarkot has already concluded.
The campaign targets to vaccinate children between 9 months to under 5 years old. Children between 9 months to 15 years in 21 districts of Terai and 3 districts of Kathmandu Valley will be vaccinated under this program.
Children, of the remaining districts, belonging to the age category from 9 months to under 5 years old, will be vaccinated against measles and rubella.
Vaccination campaigns will be operated in hospitals, schools, and health institutions under local municipalities. The vaccination program would also operate from the other usual places that were providing the services in the past.
