Nepal lost match against Namibia by 2 wickets

Kathmandu: The national cricket team of Nepal has lost the match against Namibia in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

Namibia defeated Nepal by 2 wickets in the T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. With this, Nepal has lost the second match against Namibia in the ongoing League 2 series.

Namibia succeeded in chasing the target of 169 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in 40 overs. Captain Gerhard Erasmus scored 52 runs and JJ Smit was unbeaten at 34 runs. Kushal Bhurtel took 3 wickets for Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Kushal Malla took 1 wicket each for the team.

Nepal lost match against Namibia by 4 wickets

In the first innings, Nepal was packed up in 37.1 overs and scored 168 runs. Aasif Sheikh scored a half-century for the team. Aasif contributed 58 runs out of 64 balls by smashing 8 boundaries and 1 six. This is the 12th half-century of Aasif in the ODI for Nepal.

Kushal Malla scored 36, Bhim Sharki 26, Kushal Bhurtel 18, and Karan KC 12 runs for the team. Dipendra Singh Airee scored 6 and Sompal Kami scored 4 for the team. Anil Sah, Dev Khanal, and Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel had to face duck out.

Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton and Bernard Scholtz took 4 wickets each for Namibia. Now, Nepal will compete against the Netherlands on Sunday.
