Meteorologist Adhikari: Westerly low pressure system likely to cause rain
Kathmandu: The Meteorologist Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted the possibility of light rain coupled with thunder and lightning in Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province.
Due to the impact of the westerly low-pressure system on the weather, light rain coupled with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province on Wednesday.According to the Meteorologist Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Sanjiv Adhikari, The weather would remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country, while some parts in Gandaki and Madesh provinces are receiving rainfall with the temperature remaining unchanged.

Likewise, The Division also stated that chances of light to moderate snowfall are likely at some places in the high hilly and mountainous region of the country. He further said that the impacts of the westerly low-pressure system have gradually shifted to Gandaki, Bagmati, and the eastern belt of the country from the Sudurpaschim and Karnali. And chances of rain are more likely on Thursday compared to Wednesday and the weather shall be gradually clear from Friday.

Adhikari said that Wednesday’s weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country, and light rain or thunder and lightning are likely to occur at a few places in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudur Pashchim provinces and hilly regions of the country.
