President Deuba: No alternative to coalition

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said it is not appropriate to decide on the coalition for the upcoming election from now onwards.

Inaugurating the General Committee Meeting in Godavari, Lalitpur on Monday, Deuba said that there was no alternative to coalition as the single majority was not possible in the current election system.

President Deuba said that the right decision must be taken after evaluating and discussing the propriety, and relevance of the coalition as per the immediate context.

He said that the coalition was made under the leadership of the Nepali Congress as there were attempts to weaken the Federal Democratic Republic and dissolve the House of Representatives.
