Kathmandu: Nepal has registered its second victory in a row in ACC Women’s Premiere Cup. Nepal
defeated Bhutan by 8 wickets in Bayuemas Oval, Malaysia on Sunday.
Nepal succeeded in chasing the target of 66 runs in 11.5 overs with a loss of 2 wickets. Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chhetri were unbeaten at 32 and 17 runs respectively. Kabita Kunwar contributed 5 and Captain Indu Barma 1 run for the team. Anjali Gurung and Anjuli Ghalley took 1 wicket each for the team.
In the first innings, Bhutan scored 65 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 4 wickets. Indu Barma, Sita Rana Magar, Kabita Kunwar, and Kabita Joshi took 1 wicket each for Nepal.
Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 8 wickets in the first match. A total of 16 teams are competing in the tournament. The two 2 teams of all the groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
The two teams competing in the final will book their tickets to the Women’s Asia Cup.
