Suspicious death of woman in Sarlahi

Sarlahi: A suspicious death of a woman has been reported. The death of Puja Devi Sahni, a resident of Balra Municipality-4, Jabdi Tole, seems suspicious. She died on Tuesday night.  The other male members of her family are absconding.

Police suspected the male members of the family murdered Sahni(21 years). Police arrested Sanhi’s mother-in-law Banarasi Devi Sanhi for interrogation.

Sarlahi’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Prabin Dhital said,’ We are interrogating Puja’s mother-in-law. The autopsy report might disclose further information.’ Puja’s body has been taken to the Provincial Hospital for examination.

According to SP Dhital, they found bruises on Puja’s neck, whereas her husband Chotelal and father-in-law Jaya Narayan Sahni have absconded, which makes the incident suspicious.

Locals said that there was a dispute in the house before the incident. Sarlahi Police Station said that they are investigating the case along with searching for absconding members.
