Demonstration for Sajilman Shakya's Justice (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Families, Relatives, and Activists have demonstrated for Sajilman Shakya’s justice in Jawalakhel.

Shakya was found unconscious after being electrocuted while swimming in Hotel Square in August (Bhadra). When Shakya’s family tried to file a complaint, the police refused to file the case. After about 4 and a half months, a complaint was filed with the support of the public prosecutor.

Police arrested Hotelier Lalita Devkota Bhandari in charge of attempted murder whereas another Hotelier Romi Aryal is absconding.

Shakya’s family claims that Sajilman was electrocuted when there was a short circuit in the nearby electricity pole. His family filed a complaint against the Hotelier in the attempted murder case.
