Kathmandu: Madhesh has defeated Sudurpaschim Province by 80 runs in the PM Cup National Cricket Tournament.
Sudurpaschim failed to chase the target of 320 runs in T.U. International Cricket Stadium. Sudurpaschim was packed up in 44.5 overs. The team succeeded in scoring only 239 runs.
Naren Bhatta scored a century for Sudurpaschim. He scored 121 runs out of 122 balls by hitting 13 boundaries and 1 six. However, the team failed to win the match.
Rajesh Yadav and Pradip Paswan took 3 wickets for Madhesh. Ranjit Kumar took 2, and Pawan Sarraf and Hari Shankar Shah took 1 wicket each.
In the first innings, Madhesh scored 319 runs in 50 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Mayan Yadav scored a century for the team. He scored 115 runs out of 128 balls by hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes.
Pawan Sarraf scored 70 and Anil Shah scored 69 runs for the team. Sher Malla took 4 wickets for Sudurpaschim.
Similarly, Bagmati defeated Karnali by 7 wickets at Mulpani Cricket Stadium. NPS won the match against APF by 58 runs.
