PM Cup: Madhesh’s victory against Karnali

Kathmandu: Madhesh Province has defeated Karnali in the PM Cup National Cricket Tournament.

Madhesh defeated Karnali by 61 runs in T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Karnali was unable to chase the target of 232 runs. Karnali was all out in 41.1 overs and scored only 170 runs.

Arjun Gharti hit a half-century for Karnali. He scored 58 runs out of 105 balls by hitting 2 boundaries and 2 sixes. But it was insufficient for the win. Dinesh Adhikari contributed 33 and Bipin Shahi hit 31 runs for Karnali.

Rajesh Yadav took 3 and Pradip Yadav took 2 wickets for Madhesh.

In the first innings, Madhesh scored 231 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Hari Shankar Yadav and Mayan Yadav contributed 50 runs each for the team. Dipendra Yadav took 4 and Anuj Chanara took 2 wickets for Karnali.
