APF and Help Nepal bag title of 4th Tiger Cup

Kathmandu: APF Club and Help Nepal Sports Club have bagged the title of 4^th Tiger Cup in Women’s and Men’s categories respectively.

APF defeated New Diamond in a set of 3-0 to become the champion in the finals, held in Pokhara on Saturday. APF won the first set by 25-20, the second set by 25-18, and the third by 25-21. This is the third title for APF in a row.

Help Nepal defeat Gandaki by 3-1 to win the title. Help Nepal won the first and second set by 25-13 and 25-18 respectively. Gandaki was able to win the third set by 26-24. But, Help Nepal won the fourth set by 25-18.

APF secured third place by defeating the Srilanka Army by 3-0 in the men’s category. On Friday, Nepal Police Club defeated Tribhuvan Army Club to win the third position in the women’s category.

Niruta Thagunna of APF and Fakarudin of Help Nepal became the Best Player in the Women’s and Men’s category respectively.

The winners have also received a cash prize of 5 lakh rupees. The runner-ups bagged 2 lakh 55 thousand 5 hundred rupees. The second runner-up received 1 lakh 25 thousand 5 hundred 55 rupees.
