Kathmandu: Cases of measles have been detected in 2 out of 15 local levels in Jhapa. The Immunization Officer at the District Health Office, Jhapa, Raj Kumar Pokharel, said that cases of measles were detected in Jhapa rural municipality and Birtamod municipality.
He even shared that 7 measles cases were recorded in two weeks in the district where six cases in Jhapa rural municipality and one in Birtamod municipality. Likewise, Three members of a single family were also found infected with measles in the course of conducting blood tests at Sharanamati Health Post.
Similarly, a five-year-old girl from Birtamod municipality-3 was found suffering from measles. The measles was confirmed on the girl in the course of a blood test at Birtamod Municipal Hospital who was brought to the hospital two days ago for treatment. The girl has now been kept in isolation.
