Kathmandu: Madhesh Province has registered a sensational victory over APF in the PM Cup National Cricket Tournament.
Madhesh defeated APF by 5 wickets in T.U. International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Madhesh chased the target of 247 runs in 48 overs with loss of 5 wickets.
3 players hit half-centuries for the victory. Rupesh Singh was unbeaten at 72 balls. He smashed 4 boundaries and 3 sixes to contribute 64 runs. Pawan Sarraf hit 4 fours and 5 sixes to contribute 64 runs in 66 balls. Niran Yadav scored 52 runs out of 70 balls by hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes.
Ramesh Kurmi and Rohi Paudel took 2 wickets each for APF. Mausam Dhakal took 1 wicket for the team.
In the first innings, APF scored 246 runs in 50 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Despite the maximum number of national players, APF failed to omit the loss.
Aasif Seikh and Captain Rohi Paudel scored half-centuries for APF. Aasif scored 59 and Rohit 58 runs for the team. Amar Rautela was unbeaten in 49 runs. Rupesh Singh and Pradip Paswan took 3 wickets each for Madhesh. Ranjit Kumar took 2 and Arniko Yadav took 1 wicket for Madhesh.
Likewise, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Koshi Province by 9 wickets in Mulpani Cricket Stadium. And Sudurpaschim Province won the match against Gandaki Province by 108 runs.
