Schools declaring winter holidays with extreme drop in temperature

Kathmandu: Most of the schools have started to declare winter holidays due to the extreme drop in temperature in Madhesh.

The Local government decided to close schools to protect the children from the cold. Biratnagar Metropolitan City and Itahari Municipality have decided to close schools.

Likewise, Morang, Sunsari, and other municipalities of Jhapa also closed down schools, declaring winter vacation. Biratnagar Metropolitan City has decided to give 3-day holidays to those schools which are operated within the metropolitan city.

According to Metropolitan, they decided to give a holiday because of the adverse effect on the health of the students due to the extreme cold. Itahari Sub Metropolitan City decided to close the schools for 3 days from today (Wednesday).
