Minister Basnet, while inauguration of mammography service program organized by the National Academy of Medical Sciences Bir Hospital, commented on the padlocking of Bir Hospital. He said he is aware of the issue that a group of people at Bir Hospital has been spending their duty time without doing any work while another group is working round the clock.
‘A group has been carrying out activities intending to defame me,’ said Minister Basnet. He said OPD service from 8:00 am and the arrangement of a separate ward for the treatment of VIPs has given a positive message.
He also emphasized the need to make special arrangements for the treatment of cardiac-related disease along with the arrangement of cancer treatment.
Likewise, Vice-Chancellor of NAMS, Prof Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Basnet said that modern equipment with 3D technology has been installed in the Hospital, to increase the capacity of the ICU and teach MBBS subjects from the new academic sessions.
