Kathmandu: The patients of the Bir Hospital will be getting regular lunch and snacks.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ discussed with the officials of the National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS) on Thursday. PM Dahal directed the officials to resume the lunch and snacks for the patients.
‘Bir Hospital is a vital organ of the Health Sector in Nepal. I wish the facility of free treatment for the poor, deprived, and helpless people. The state must act as a guardian towards them. I was deeply saddened after hearing about the halting of the lunch and snacks of the patients. The facility has been kept as usual now, ‘ said PM Dahal, after hearing the briefings of the officials.
Similarly, PM Dahal directed not to halt the services of the patients. ‘Focus on how to provide speedy, quality, and accessible services to the patients. I want the patients to realize you as their guardian. Provide services in that way,’ said PM Dahal.
The hospital administration stopped lunch and snacks of the patients due to less budget. The administration has been receiving 1 crore 68 lakh rupees for the purpose. But the administrations showed less budget to continue the service this year.
