CAN suspends Sandeep Lamichhane

Kathmandu: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has suspended leg spinner and former national team captain Sandeep Lamichhane.
CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand issued a notice today, mentioning the suspension of Lamichhane after the court found him guilty.
Kathmandu District Court convicted Lamichhane in a rape case on 29 December 2023 (Poush 13, 2080).
Likewise, Lamichhane was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment and to pay compensation of 0. 5million (5 lakh) to the victim.
