Sher Bahadur Deuba: Voice against republic must be stopped

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has commented that the voices against the republic must be stopped.

NC President Deuba, while addressing the birth anniversary of the late Krishna Bhattarai, commented on the anti-federalistic movement. He said,’ Different thoughts are coming. Even that of overthrowing the republic is going on. Thus we must work against it and stop it.’

President Deuba said that Bhattarai was a recluse leader. He said, ‘Late Bhattarai was a very important person. Bhattarai was not greedy and was far away from infamy.’

Similarly, President Deuba even remembered his first meeting with Bhattarai in Nakhu prison. He said,’ Bhattarai’s contribution has not been addressed as it should have been. Therefore Nepali Congress must work on this matter. We must write a big book about him.’
